B On The Go

Finally made it over here Sunday for an excellent Cubano ($9.50). Roast pork had a nice herbal flavor that penetrated the meat, perfect balance of ham, pickles and pork, light crusty roll done in a Pannini press. Daughter had the grilled cheese sans mushrooms ($8) – which was fine, nothing special – super thinly sliced bread folded over like a tortilla – would have been better with the mushrooms I’m sure. I haven’t had a better Cubano in SF, but I will say if you are hungry you might need a side to fill you up. Luckily I had half a grilled cheese to finish off as well, but otherwise would not have been sated.

Small selections of cookies, canele, etc. looked great but I deferred.
