Braised Rabbit Leg at Monsieur Benjamin

Had another fantastic dinner at Monsieur Benjamin over the holidays. We had escargot, chicken liver terrine, braised rabbit leg, foie gras with duck confit, roasted chicken, and palmier ice cream.

Everything was great but the standout was the rabbit leg. The leg itself is cooked to perfection – moist and tender. It comes on a velvety puree of potato that’s also delicious. But what takes the dish over the top is the savory pork(?) sausage stuffed inside.

Absurdly, preposterously good. Right up there with the quail as the best thing I’ve had at Monsieur Benjamin. If you like rabbit, this is a must try.

The menu says saucisse chipolata, so that should be pork.
