We’re traveling for almost a month and have a large wedge of this cheese. We’re flying and I could carry it in a checked bag. Could I freeze it in advance and then eat it along the way? Or can I freeze it and have anything edible when we get home? Or if wrapped correctly will it be okay in the fridge? Any advice will be greatly appreciate. TIA.
Don’t freeze it. If you keep it cold it should last a week or so.
So if I keep if cold pre, then put it in a checked bag, do you think it will survive for 12 hours o more?
Should. Baggage is usually quite cold.
I just checked and, depending on the aircraft, it’s generally kept above 44F. I guess I really have nothing to lose, huh? Thanks, Robert.
