Chapel Hill, NC: Mexican BBQ

Off the side of the road, next to a convenience store.

Marinated in Mexican seasoning and spices for 24 hours. Smoked over hickory and a little cedar. This is the ultimate in fusion cuisine.

Chicken is moist, even the breast meat, and permeated with flavor and smoke. Some of the best BBQ chicken anywhere.

Ribs are also excellent: Toothsome, flavorful, dry rub. Served with salsa verde, rojo, and pico de gallo.

Finally beat the Yelpers to it.

Best of two culinary worlds colliding - magic. This would be a giant success in SoCal.

I agree. We would eat this up.

It would have to be in a city that allowed smoking of meats though. You can smell the wood smoke for a few hundred feet.

From a few hundred feet? Great marketing tool!
