I suppose. 
Sorry to be a PITA with all the questions, but would hand pies fall under this category as well? Empanadas, samosas, etc. 
I personally would say no b/c I would think of those more as… savory pastries? (but not not savory pies, per say) Similarly, I wouldn’t put fruit tarts under pies, either.
However, an “empada” WOULD fit!

While we do have a larger interpretation as Nosh said (usually back on the old board), the issue with including “savory pies” (like PIZZA) is that it turns into a massive mixed thread / focus.
Pizza is so popular and big that it has its own DOTM, and the Pizza threads were always flooded with tons of recommendations and opinions and warring. 
I worry about including any savory pies with “PIE” but it’s up to everyone.
