Is this good in pinto beans? or refried beans?
It’s traditional in both.
I’ve only used it and seen it with black beans. I suppose it could be used with pintos, though. I know the flavor works really well with black beans. I don’t have a strong desire to try them with pinto beans, for whatever that’s worth.
Avocado leaf (in the same plant family as bay leaf) is also great with beans if you know of anyone with a tree
