Hacienda de Vega

Yesterday, the SO went to breakfast with some of her friends to the Pancake House in Encinitas. Since the OPH was kinda crazy inside, they decided to walk over to Champagne Bakery and eat there instead. While there, they realized that Bentley’s Steakhouse had closed. They asked around to find out what happened, and they were told that the owners decided to retire and close up shop. They also found out that Hacienda de Vega is going into that spot. If true, I think this location will work. HdV, I thought was a bit more upscale Mexican, not Javier’s (thankfully) but nicer than average. Also that is a great patio, and it should really be nice for outdoor dining which the old Escondido location was all about.
