Holy Land - Oakland

Combination salad ($12), my habitual order, varies from day to day / season to season. The roasted eggplant was the standout on this visit. Baba ganoush was a little fermented, everything else was good.

Four falafel balls ($3.80), fried nice and crunchy. Very nice tahina.

Love their zhug. I didn’t care for the fried pita strips or that slaw or whatever it was, but they were free.

Warm thick pita.

$20 with tax and tip. Great quick lunch though I was stuffed, next time maybe I’ll get only two falafel. I think the food at this branch has improved since the Berkeley location closed.

Pretty much the same. Light was too good to tell if my new phone’s camera is an improvement.
