Anyone use lucky peach 101 easy Asian recipes cookbook? Any good?
I obtained a copy from the library for a COTM on chowhound last year. It’s a fun cookbook, with very basic, simple recipes. I liked that there was a variety of recipes from different countries, including Malaysian, Japanese, Chinese, and Chinese American dishes.
My favorite section was the sauces and condiments. Before I returned it to the library, I copied recipes for ginger-scallion sauce, sambal, dumpling dipping sauce, and a couple others. The ratios in that section are excellent and a great starting point.
