Peruvian Trip and Peru's Taste in LA

Just back from my first trip to Peru. Wonderful country, people and - natch - food. I managed quite a bit of eating during the trip and came away even more convinced that Peru’s Taste on Loiuse in the North SFV is as authentic as we have here. We got there during sometching called Mistura - Lima’s annual, week long, sort-of “Taste of LA” but it covers dishes from all around the country rather than one region. Mistura is a must-do for anyone who loves Peruvian food and is looking for a good time to visit.

If you get to Portland, OR, Andina is an absolute must for Peruvian food. The food is outstanding, and I am told that it’s very authentic. We’ve been twice, and loved it.

@CiaoBob have you been back here recently? I have family visiting next month and they asked about Peruvian in LA. The pictures look good on their website.

Not for a few years

No worries thanks!

I love Puro Sabor in the Valley. They don’t serve alcohol, but their chi chi morada (possible huge spelling error), that is purple corn juice, is great.

Chicha (one of the non-alcoholic ones). I’ve never seen that.

Thanks @ebethsdad!!
