It’s gonna be in Rolling Hills Plaza which is five minutes from my house… Can’t wait to weigh 700lbs!

That is a little far from Monkish for my taste. It would be hard for me to drive by Chantilly Patisserie to get to Sidecar. But I guess we can bang x3.

Add Ichimi-an for some great soba to that bang bang.

110 S exit PCH to Sidecar (donuts)

Come up to Carson and Cabrillo for some Kagura (katsu) or Wadatsumi (beef bowl)

Take Western to Monkish (beer)

Take Western to 182nd to Van Ness to Nijiya Market (Meyer Ranch Prime Beef, Mugifuji Pork, negi hamachi roll)

Take Van Ness back to Artesia to Aloha Pizza Co (Chinese Chicken Salad)

That is one of my normal routes, which may now include the addition of Sidecar.

You are a legend. I’m a mere mortal with 2 car seats.

This totally made my day - thank you for this news.

Any news on Sidecar - Torrance?

Opening in the next 5 months?

I hope they make the plain sugar malasada at this location. I had it once at the Costa Mesa location and it was damn good. I guess the free market will dictate their offerings…I suppose.

That sounds great. I’ve never had it but going to CM on Friday.
Malasada seems like a good fit for Torrance.

The one and only time I had, or even seen it for that matter, was at Costa Mesa. It was a mere $2 but really good. Never saw it again, only filled ones. I wish they would bring it back, maybe I’ll request it. I am thinking it wasn’t a huge seller as it was sort of plain for their offerings.

The only good malasada I’ve had in SoCal was at Paderia. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.
