Singani (Title Must Be At Least 10 Characters)

“National spirit of Bolivia”

Who knew that worthwhile grapes grew at that elevation. I never heard of it, let alone tried it, until about a week ago. Pisco-esque, but distinctly different. Nice nose.

On the other hand, this was just one import. I’d expect that at the prices I’m seeing for imported Singani, the local “well” Singani in Bolivia isn’t this good.

The best mezcal I’ve had was some homebrew the owners of a restaurant in Ensenada brought in jugs from their home village.
