HiTime is, indeed, the best wine shop in OC. I can very easily get lost in the cellar. It may even be better than a place like K & L, but I so seldom get up to LA that I can’t be sure.

I’m bumping this old thread to ask how much you’re willing to spend on wine pairing in a once in a lifetime dinner at The French Laundry.
I don’t drink, but my best friend does and I’m prepared to pay for half of his drinks for this special occasion. What would be a good budget to spend on drinks, $500?
I might take a sip from his glasses to see what I’m missing out on.
