New Bev just had a remodel right?

They were playing Godfather 2 last week I am pissed that I missed out on that.

Don’t forget Pulp Fiction is showing this Friday. I like the Vista slightly better though

Probably gonna pick a recipe from Bourdain’s Appetites

Take out pizza from Appolonia’s Pizza and a nice bottle of wine. We used to go out but, like New Years, it’s over priced, stressful, and when the “amateurs” go out.

That’s been us for 10 years now. I graduated to wanting a nice night with family at Frank & Musso for their 100 year anniversary

100 hundred years! That’s pretty amazing. The place is damn near perfect and I wouldnt’ want to change a thing. Was a lovely time last night. It was full, bar was buzzing with younger folks, people having a great time. Steak was smokey as hell and this was a fantastic decision!

Muss & Frank’s

lil valentine got his favorite lullaby song as a present and how lucky for us we walked by his star after dinner.

Ended up at Puntas Cabras. A good environment for a relatively calm dinner, but the chicken mole needed more of the mole (which was delicious) and dark meat. The meat also wasn’t infused w/ mole. Halibut was a touch dry, perhaps a little overcooked, and under-seasoned.

I think I’ll be sticking w/ the taqueria and bar menu there…

I was home alone with my son, which is fine, except for that whole two hours in the ER thing. My lovely bride threatened me online with a throat punch if I spent money on overpriced meals, cards, flowers, etc. We have a date night at least once a week (benefits of joint custody) where we sit (preferably at the bar) together and share a meal and drinks.

I cooked last night. Lobster bisque from Costco…it was okay. Pan seared salmon, roasted rainbow carrots, blistered Campari tomatoes, garlic mashed potatoes, and vanilla ice cream with fresh berries mascerated with vanilla sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest. We had champagne and made our own cocktails. It was simple and easy and we spent some time with our kids.

I saw the lobster bisque and wondered about it. So were most of the other things from Costco. I know I saw the rainbow carrots.

I asked if my fiancée wanted to have dinner together and she said no.

I hate to suggest this but she may now be your ex-fiancee’ :frowning: Or maybe you make meals about the food rather than about your love. ???

Ha…that was my response when my husband asked me if I wanted to go out for the holiday. It’s also mid-week and a rough time of year for people in certain industries…getting out can be hard.

Took myself out to Kiriko. Really mice meal highlighting the texture of different fish. Best scallop sushi I’ve had in a while almost snappy texture. Almost never get salmon sushi but I had there fantastic smoked and a wild that was leaner…
