A load of crock (pot)

Beans! I don’t use my crock much anymore. It was perfect to start in the morning and have a great meal at the end of the day. Now the kids are doing their own thing mostly. Yay! Anyway, beans shouldn’t boil. That’s hard to manage on top of the stove. They do a slow simmer in the crock, and come out beautifully, creamy on the inside w/firm not tough skins, and the garlic, onions & spices meld perfectly.

This may be a little pricey. But for those looking for large cuts of meat for pot roasts, braising and such, Wholefoods has some really good selections. They do have sales sometimes.

Which is too bad because I like the quality of their meat. I should mention that Nijiya has been very good about doing special orders for me - like ordering some of their bread un-sliced. Could be they might order it for you from their supplier if you talked to a manager.
