No, we’re not looking to spend $75 per before tax and tip at lunch today. I think we will give Nori a try–will report on the experience.

I had a good experience at Sushi Ippo (corner of Wilshire and Western), which bills itself as premium AYCE.
What did you order? For $28 (+ tip/tax), I could have a pretty decent run at Noshi (though admittedly probably not with nigiri).
I got a good variety of basic stuff I like: yellowtail, salmon, tuna, albacore, snapper, scallop, octopus and a few others, including a fusiony donburi that they called sushi pizza. The more expensive items are not included in the AYCE option.
