@Gr8pimpin Thank you for clarifying! How do you consume it? Just like regular smoked salmon or some other prep?
@small_h I tried to purchase it once at R&D but I recollect they talked me out of it cautioning that its very salty and I’d likely prefer the regular smoked salmon instead.
It is a good deal saltier than smoked salmon, without the “distraction” of the smokiness, and the texture is softer. So you might not like it. Next time you’re in there, see if the counter guys won’t at least give you a taste. I’m kind of surprised they didn’t offer, but maybe it was very busy when you were there, or something.
I love it, and so does my dad, but the rest of my family prefers nova.

I was raised on the stuff. Rarely had nova until I moved here to LA.
Eat the same way as sliced smoked salmon. Lox and a bagel. Tomato on it helps the salt, but I prefer it without.
It’s not ungodly salty. It’s just saltier than nova.
