When I first moved to LA I would get really annoyed that LA natives would say every place was 20 minutes away.

Ouch! You don’t live in LA. I sort of assume this page is LA metro folks

LA’s Belizean restaurants/Little Belize is one of the hidden gems in the city. Very underrated. You won’t find a bunch of 20 something “foodies” selfie it up under a neon lit sign eating some forced fusion-stoner-comfort food-brightly colored for Instagram coming down to the area around Western.

Seriously Belizeans make the best beans and rice! Completely puts every Latin restaurant to shame who serve beans and rice, including my beloved Mexican food.
Beans and Rice ain’t no joke to a Belizean, not an afterthought or treated as a side. I can’t figure out why it is so freaking good.

In 2018 make it a point to hit up a Belizean joint.

Edit: And that ain’t no fukin joke!

I always wanted to say that!
