Best Steakhouse?

Great old school:

Cant go to the Galley for anything other than clams personally. That said, the steak is closer to Che Jay than Dan Tana’s. Thats ok, just saying…

Has anyone been to Carlitos Gardel lately? If so, how was your experience?

went about a month ago. it was great. ribeye cap, sweetbreads, fries… spicy chimichurri

all great. a nice malbec to wash it all down. need to go back sooner this time.

Has anybody been to Arroyo Chop House recently? It was great back in the day but it’s literally been a decade+ since my last visit. Looking to make dinner reservation for Memorial Day weekend. Had a Bestia reservation but my son is cutting for a tae kwon do competition so he is basically only eating meat and veggies. Also considering Gwen and 19Seventy mostly due to proximity. We might just end up going to KBBQ but want to explore other options. We are in the OC so we’ll go to Newport Laguna if there are good options. Never been to Selanne or Bourbon Steak.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here…

Antico Nuovo
The steak there was massive and delicious.

There are vegetables and sides for your son…and bonus the rest of the fam can have pasta and focaccia. Wins all around!

The guys next to me had that when I was there last month. Looked and smelled great.

Interesting idea. What’s the sauce on top of the steak? Is the ice cream still great?

I just looked on their page and for $203 I would expect an outstanding steak

Italian salsa verde…bright and fresh to help cut through the richness of the steak.

I think ours was at least 2.5 pounds or a little more…they were selling it at MP per kilo at the time.
