Biarritz and surrounding areas

Any one have any food and drinks recommendations for that area?

Also will be there around bastille day so if there’s any celebrations or recs for that let me know!

Oysters with white wine at the Biarritz market are delicious.

Chéri Bibi and l’Artnoa - 2 natural wine bars. The latter has local mostly cheese and charcuterie, the former has a more extensive menu.

Chez Albert - traditional seafood restaurant with Turbot, etc

1001 Fromages - exactly what it sounds like. You can have them make a platter for you for a picnic.

L’Auberge Basque - Basque country cuisine, has a Michelin star

Haraneko Borda (https://lefooding.com/fr/restaurants/restaurant-haraneko-borda-itxassou) in Itxassou, the chef/owner raises pigs and grows Espelette peppers

Visit Beñat Moity Fromages in the covered market in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, with an extra shop close by, outside of the market

Other recs that I’ve not been to:
Chez Mattin in Ciboure

Ithurria in Ainhoa (has a Michelin star)

Olhabidea in Sare (also a hotel)

Maison Sukaldari in Arcangues

Around Biarritz proper: L’Impertinent and Le Bouchon Biarrot
