Social distancing and masks are required. The last item puzzles me–how can you eat with a mask on, unless it’s one of those old time French masquerade masks.

… which do very little to prevent transmission of viral particles between diners, other than lend an extra air of mystery to it.

Maybe they mean anytime you’re not actively eating? When I drive by restaurants, I see people just sitting and talking w/ no mask on while waiting for food, which drives me a little nuts.

Yes, that’s it. You can take the mask off at your table ( which should be social distant). Then back on when you get up from the table. Waiters should have mask and face shield AFAIK
