But Bobby and Ipse it might just be something pretty fucking dope to look into perchance.
I started this site as an alternative to Chowhound and chose Discourse because to my knowledge it’s the best option out there for hosting discussions. Beyond that starting point, it’s what the members make it.
I suppose the Agile Manifesto is on point:
- Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
- Working software over comprehensive documentation
- Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
- Responding to change over following a plan
I think Invision’s forum software is superior, but that may only be because that’s what I’ve been used to since the early 2000s, from eGullet on.
