Domaine LA

Okay, I see. I have noticed a certain coolness. They lay back and wait for me to ask a question. But when I do they’re always helpful and on point.

It’s kind of a mystery to me how they and frankly other small wine shops survive. They’re never crowded, don’t seem to do a lot of (or any) wholesale and their prices are reasonable for such a small shop. Wine must have huge markups.

I’m doing some things for my boss on Saturday. If I’m done on time a good cocktail would be great.

That’s not a very expensive rent location.

Not as expensive as west of La Brea, but still…

I didn’t have time…

Okay, I forgive you. :hugs: I thought it was a boycott.

Standard markup for wine retailers is 1.5 times wholesale. Most have wine clubs to boost sales.

Oh, another thing about wine retailing: a shop may sell wine before they pay the wholesale invoice.
