Looks like Dotdash is expanding into food. They own many sites in other verticals like finance, travel, lifestyle sites, etc… Not sure what that means for readers of Serious Eats like me.

Presumably they acquired Serious Eats because they like its demographics, so probably don’t want to change much outside of the advertising.
The new layout on Serious Eats is confusing. It will take a little time to get used to.

I almost always go to Serious Eats from Google. Hadn’t even noticed the redesign.
