Looks like the season is off to a non-start.

I guess the good news is that it’s related to El Niño, so maybe the drought is ending.
While we sit out the local crab catch delay and have dreams of crab for Thanksgiving,

Places like 99 Ranch should be selling crab from Washington, BC, or Alaska like they always do. Prices will likely be higher than usual.

As far as I’m concerned the season is over . The crabs get smaller as the season goes on . I know some crab fisherman who are just eating shit . I refuse to buy the cooked ones in the store . From Santa Cruz .

Yea you are correct . If you know any crab fisherman and personally talk to them . It’s a political bag of shit . Just pissed . I heard MAYBE the season will open next week for commercial . For sport fishing you can crab fish all you want with in the limits and eat all you want . Go figure .
The sport season is open with gross caveats about how to cook them.
