Fun list. I’d never have thought to add Lucca or Old Mandarin Islamic (which is more of a hot pot specialist than you’d guess from their blurb).
Is Sotto Mare worth the stop for their cioppino?
I haven’t been to Sotto Mare yet (been on my to-eat list for years) but have had enough reports from knowledgeable people who have that I would not hesitate to recommend it.
Sam’s Grill is a solid choice for cioppino They don’t use crab when it’s out of season.
I haven’t been to any of their picks yet, but I’m headed to Cotogna for the first time tomorrow. B Patisserie has been on my list for years. One of these days I’ll try their black sesame kougin amann.
I’ve been to 17 (some not at all recently) and half the rest are on my to-try list.
Montesacro would not make my list. Liked it fine but no urge to go a second time.
very nice and rustic-ish! can’t wait to hear your report.
grab a kouign amann then head over to arsicault and get both their croissant and kouign amann.
i’m absolutely jealous of that haul
