Was toasting the bun part of this? I’m driving so I can’t go back and look. But my bun tasted like it was grilled and the inside of it is crispy.

I’m not into the keto thing but I take the non-cheese muffin off and wish I could get both to go away. So I guess I can. But do they charge more…for less???

They charge the same. Though they do prepare it in a way knowing that you’re going to be eating it without the bread vessel.

For instance yesterday I got the buy one double cheeseburger get one for $.29. Hold the buns. So what they did was alter the assembly.

You’re really pushing it hard on the keto scale with that entire mcprocessed food order lol.

I wonder would it be cheaper to ask for a side of cheese eggs and sausage and build your own?

I know back in the day at some mcds it was cheaper to order the 1 dollar muffin and order an egg on the side.

I am a keto pro. I just don’t like staying on it for too long.

But I’m really just watching carbs… except when I’m not :rofl: . I’m sure you’ve seen photos of my low carb salsa and beer meals.

But when I’m out and about, and I need something fast I know exactly where and what my options are.

Too complicated. I enjoy the fact that this way they have a good idea of how to assemble something without me telling them. The way they did it was perfect. Plus McD makes it super easy with the App

Fair enough we all gotta do some dieting from time to time. I went vegan on the weekdays for approx 4 months that really sucked and I’m trying to lose another 7-8 lbs again lol

Low carb is actually pretty easy. Keto is harder because it’s high in fat. But it’s still pretty easy to stay on except if you are a bread lover. I guess it’s also hard giving up fruit.

But you lose weight REALLY fast. “And you can eat all the bacon you want and never gain weight” LOL.

Yeah I think I could do it but my cholesterol was a little high and that’s why I chose vegan. I’ve leveled out so I know I won’t gain the weight back unless I go crazy on eating again.

Leto would be hard, I would miss eating carbs and sugar a lot, but I could do it for a couple of weeks. Also do you drink alcohol when you are doing keto?

I know it seems counterintuitive, to be eating all kinds of foods that are high in fat and cholesterol. But there is science behind it.

My brother’s cholesterol was very high, he has a problem with it. I don’t. But I put him on keto, His cholesterol is back to normal. In fact, all his numbers came back to normal. Including his A1C.

Of course his cardiologist took credit. Lol!

Do you do keto often? How long of periods do you go?

I know people on it full time.

My brother has stuck with it for a year. He does take days off every once in a while. But with this diet if you take a break, even if you eat right it may take a 2-3 days for you to get back to ketosis.

Personally, I mostly go ultra low carb, and my weight comes right off. When I do keto, I’ll do it for several months, then just maintain with low carb.

The real death comes from sugar. Carbohydrates, even protein turn to sugar. So the worst thing you could have is sugar, white bread, buns, rice, potatoes. So I find that when I stop with that stuff, even without going full blown keto, I drop weight.

But now you see why I stop at McDonald’s for a protein and fat fix.
