Whatever you feel comfortable with, no need for extra effort on my account. I’m sure when you’re ready to report back, it’ll be useful publicly for lots of other people.
Thanks!

I’ve been watching the roll-out of these fridges which have been popping up at an almost bewildering rate in LA. They’ve also been covered on KCRW’s Good Food and in a more general way at Civil Eats.
It’s a complicated issue and I appreciate that the LAist article spoke with the co-founder of Freedge in Davis. Reading up on their donation requirements (which are different than these LA community fridges) was both matter of fact and more informative than most of the answers I’ve gotten from people when asking about those issues.
Thanks for the info @WireMonkey! Looks like there’s a working Fridge close to my home. We’ll add to it this weekend!
Thanks @WireMonkey & Eater. We donated last weeks Providence En Vogue budget to the LA Food Bank.
That’s fantastic! There have been more than a few articles about food banks stepping up at this time. They seem like a very impactful place to put your money right now
I just realized I wrote En Vogue not En Voyage!

They have buying power that far exceeds what we can give in goods. So we still do the post office picks up and such but we give every $$$ every month.
We gave them our 'stimulus check" and I talked to one of their people. She said their requests were up 50%.
