He couldn’t have been there. Thursday is not a cheat day.
look at all these people interested in where @chrishei’s dining. that’s a sign of a true influencer more than any ratio. but maybe it was his bday week so all days were cheat days?
He’ll do a reel and a tik tok for free food, lol!
Happy maybe birthday @chrishei
very nice; love seeing these reports.
you could be a food journalist as a side gig.
nicely scored lime
Also no double donabe for porky’s belly?
It was on a Saturday so @PorkyBelly was blessed with my presence.
The real influencer: @Clayfu with the recent IG Reels (and a healthy 6:1 ratio).
Also somewhat of a belated bday for this so thanks @hungryhungryhippos (and PB).
I’m sure his neighbors whisper about the guy who dances in his drive way mouthing things with a wine glass lol
how elitist
I managed to snag a rezzy going through the good ol’ tock refresh method, waiting for the initial timeout cuz I wasn’t paying attention to the time at 10am. honestly was pretty easy to get compared to some other tock bullshit I’ve had to do
sushi sho review forthcoming?
i’d pay 500 bucks just to eat that turnip again
@PorkyBelly review forthcoming?
anago tempura, kabu. sweet and smooth turnip. nice contrast with the fried anago.
okoze (!), takenoko, wakame, kinome. probably my favorite dish of the night, for the different toothsome textures and light fragrant tastes. also, I haven’t really seen okoze stateside from what I can remember.
Hiroki, Juyondai nama, Chartogne-Taillet Les Couarres
A spring equinox limited release nama by Shinshu Kirei, one of my top 3 breweries in the last couple of years. Really nice treat, some would say elite.
went super well with the karasumi
apologies if my extraordinary enthusiasm is showing, but hayato is simply that good, elite even.
thank you to @pomodoro and dear friends for sharing.

This event will have a raffle for a reservation for 2 at Hayato (note you still need to pay for the meal ). Independent Hospitality Coalition on Instagram: "Please join us for our second installment of “86 Red Tape” on Monday, June 24 — a family-style fundraiser dinner featuring a once-in-a-lifetime collaborative meal presented by seven restaurants and chefs with so much heart and talent. It will be held in Hollywood at Jemma — as Chef @jacksonkalb is one of IHC’s biggest, kindest and most generous supporters. Jackson will be cooking with: @mooscraftbarbecue @ponchostlayudas @barrasantosla @tsubakila (opening @cameliadtla any day now!) @maydandc (LA soon!) @jemmarestaurants @thevaleriegordon Link in bio to reserve @opentable and support the future of independent restaurants in LA and beyond. Dinner is $150 per person, and all proceeds will benefit the ongoing efforts of IHC, constantly collaborating with legislators and decision makers to shape better policy and eliminate unnecessary red tape for LA’s independent hospitality businesses. This is also an opportunity for some of LA’s finest culinary creatives to come together and provide a delicious, remarkable memory to diners who, very simply, are: restaurant lovers. A fun bonus: Every diner will be auto-entered into a raffle to win a reservation for two at @hayatorestaurant. We call this the infamous “Skip-the-Line-At-Hayato Pass.” (Thank you, @brandon_hayato_go!) THANK YOU Michelle + Andrew, Poncho + Odilia, Rose, Melissa, Charles + Courtney, Jackson and Valerie SO SO MUCH. Excellent cocktails and wine will be provided by @alldaybabyla and LA River Wine Company (THANK YOU @jfiguer1 and @scholiumwines!) Massive love and gratitude to @opentable for providing their support always <3 Mon 6/24 5:30-9:00P Jemma Hollywood 1717 Vine St" Their last event was great. If you like the restaurant line up I would take a chance on it.
Dinner is $150, includes an entry to the raffle, and supports what I think is a good cause. IHCLA has done a ton of advocacy for independent restaurants with LA and CA government.
