Does Rosenthal have any culinary bona fides, or is the concept more an innocent abroad?
He is a prolific investor in mostly LA restaurants primarily, but not exclusively through Sprouts (Bill Chait). Also, Mozza & Jar.

I really enjoyed the first episode, and found Rosenthal to be quite endearing. Looking forward to the LA episode on Nov. 2nd.

I liked the show . But there was something about his theatrical expressions .

My wife described it best, at least as far as I’m concerned.
Wife: “Who is that idiot?”
Me: "I don’t know. ‘Phil.’ It’s a new PBS show.
Wife" “He’s obnoxious.”
Me: “Want me to change it?”
Wife: “No. He’s annoying as all hell, but I like what he’s talking about.”
OK, then. Works for me!
