Its suddenly on so many menus at mexican seafood joints. Where can I get fresh ones? Also where could one source fresh baja surf clams?
I had no familiarization with this so Googled. Most of the recipes were in Spanish (that’s good!) But when I found English it’s a scallop dish. Is your final question unrelated to the beginning?
Yeah callo de hacha is a clam with similar flavor and texture to scallop. I’m guessing a place to buy callo de hacha would also be a place I could find Pismo clams or almeja.
