Park’s has the best banchan, as far as I’m concerned. The vibe is slightly sterile, but the food is so damn good. Not sure whether they scale back for solo diners.

I’d be down for some kind of impromptu meetup. I know I’m new here but I hate thinking of y’all as avatars/handles.

Wednesday afternoon/night maybe?

Going to Park’s with friends on the weekend.

I have no lunch plans for Wednesday. Maybe Eighth Street Soondae?

@robert
Eighth Street Soondae sounds like a plan!

I’m free until 16:00 on Wednesday. Let me know whatever time works for you

Let’s say noon?

Noon it is

Park’s is booked up. Plan B?

Gwang Yang. Although the banchan is limited, the chuck flap is out of this world good

Bang bang with Mapo Kkak Doo Gee for your banchan fill

Soban? no alcoholic drinks tho…

Uber/Lyft

to Normandie Club for fancy cocktails (not my style)

Or Tiki Ti in Silver Lake for a big Scorpion bowl

Or HMS Bounty for the view of that sweet model ship

Or go see Marty and Elayne at the Dresden and order a Blood and Sand

Or the Frolic Room for that sweet mural and history and haunted bathroom

Or beer and chicken wings at Ye Rustin Inn then go to the Drawing Room and play some tunes from the jukebox

Or bar crawl with The Roost and Bigfoot Lodge with those Yellowstone vibes and those sweet animal robots

Or go play pool at Frank N Hanks and winner buys a beer

Or head to Venice to Hinano and get the best damn bar serving cheeseburger

Or back to The Prince for a pitcher of Hite

Or @robert favorite Tabula Rasa (still haven’t been because I could never find parking l)

Or get ratchet with the American-Born Asians at the Arena lol

My answer is very always Jun Won

Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking.

If not opposed, go early and walk in at 5pm.

That early I could get a reservation.

Think they also have Yelp Waitlist, so you could maybe just put your name in the log an hour beforehand.

I went to Mom’s House because it the closest place to my hotel that was open at midnight and not a crowded bar. That’s what I get for making a dinner reservation at 6pm. Kimchi was exceptional.

Hard to beat kimchi fried rice after a night of drinking.

Came with steamed eggs and soup, both fine. I think it was $10.

You just got sides ?

The kimchi fried rice was the main. Note the soju shot glass for scale. I’d had dinner at Kinjiro four hours earlier so was craving carbs.
