Whatever it is they prep the oysters with, it’s the best damn oyster dish I’ve eaten
I wish the upcharge on the uni pizza wasn’t so $$$
p.s. they had a $500 caviar and “fermented potato” pizza off menu.
1-1/4 pounds of caviar seems like too much for one pizza.
great deal for 20oz
Ha ha, edited.
dungeon of melon crab deluxe
asked randy for a daisy/daquiri play with the albarique serrano blend #2. crazy cold glass, dash of salt, shook with one big cube and some regular. A few sips down at the core a small suspended ball of slush for a brain.
now you’re shakin’ with gas
artichoke and urchin and culatello and neo-mochito
shoulda also added a side of parmigiano reggiano in addition to the culatello
killer pizza tho. mix of marinated and dehydrated artichokes?!
maybe next week i’ll go back and make a quick meal out of shaved culatello and a filthy martini
dessert wasn’t listed beneath dinner like usual. I figured maybe they switched over to a separate menu. Turns out they didn’t, no dessert last night.
ill have a scotch
one guy laughed: at lineup our boss said, offer up scotch

bestest oysters and cali-prese in la .
got @butteredwaffles’fluenced.
every thing was excellent again. one of my favorite things from the opening menu is back as an off-menu special, the delicous lamb saddle with tomatoes. the new wild berry sorbet with cream is crazy good. i was watching sergio make this and it looks like he’s using a pacojet to make the sorbet.
stayed tuned for waffle breakfasts and lunch.

I’ve been to Leopardo around 4 to 5 times in the last month since I can’t get their oysters, cali-prese, and fantastic drinks (especially the filthy martini) out of my head. I’m tempted to just do a solo for the oysters, salad, and meatballs, just so I can skip the pizza. I think the pizza is just there so one doesn’t feel hungry at the end - similar to the rice served at the end at Hayato; it’s still a great pizza but it’s not what keeps drawing me back.
Also, love seeing Sergio there every time I come back. He keeps the menu interesting.
Is the pizza counter comfortable? Seems like all else being equal it would be nice to have the view.
yeah, very spacious. i’d definitely rather sit there than a table.
damn I want that lamb again
Did you have the culatello with the crab? I thought about ordering one plate of it with the crab and one plate with the pizza
love that too, I try something new every time.
the server recommended the culatello with the cali-prese. it was great wrapped around the tomatoes, i saved some for my pizza too.
You may be wondering if the fermented potato and caviar pizza is worth the price — now a modest $270. For me, the answer was immediately and emphatically yes. Best pizza I’ve ever had. Peony: “very, very good.” The food here generally is outstanding. Best giardiniera I’ve ever had. The uni is exceptional quality. The cali-prese is as good as everyone says.
To put in perspective how much I liked this pizza: best thing I’ve eaten this year, topping everything I ate at Addison, Vespertine, and Hayato.
What does fermented potato taste like?
Vodka?
