Macky's Noodle House in Monrovia

I went there because Luscious Dumpling next door was closed. As its name states, it’s a noodle shop. More specifically, they specialize in noodle soups. Many of the soups are similar to those found in Kim Ky Noodle House in San Gabriel. Although they have some rice dishes, I would be hesitant to order them.

I had the fish fillet with rice noodle soup. My friend had BBQ pork with egg noodle soup. He also had some fish balls. The food was tasty–not too heavy at all. Noodle soup dishes were in the $8-$9 range for the most part.

Some people claim this is a Chiu-Chow restaurant. It wouldn’t surprise me at all because the food was so similar to those from Kim Ky. The menu, however, is more limited than Kim Ky. It’s a decent place to get lunch.

Parking is easy. It was a bit crowded, but we did not need to wait.

They’re related to kim kee in El monte, Alhambra, and noodle Cafe in Monterey Park. Except their setup, sauces, seating etc, are awkward.
