Birthplace of hipster cuisine. I don’t know how he does it but Chang still manages to stay a cut above and provide a more delicious spin in an era where hipster restaurants are all too common.
Sardine toast is superlative here. Fried pig head balls as good as they sound paired with ultra ripe cantaloupe.
Chanterelle chawan mushi, aged sirloin beef tartare, scallops, and grilled mackerel are all delicious.
