OK . . . why not?

From Eater: Chef Tony DiSalvo Will Serve a Sound-Inspired Dinner at CAST in Santa Monica

Lemme guess: everyone eats in reverent silence as they eat to the prophetic soundtrack by Simon and Garfunkel?

Reminds me of this silent dinner in Brooklyn: Brooklyn Foodies Supper in Silence - WSJ

Which might as well have been a sketch for Portlandia.

Or, are we talking a Blummenthal-esque “Sound of the Sea” distribution of iPods to diners so they can eat the seashore diorama in unison with the looping sounds of the tide?

Lost me on this one, but I guess it’s an interdisciplinary performance / indulgence in bringing gastronomy to another dimension of art??
