Stopped by on Sunday on way back from legoland with kids. Only the shoyu ramen on the menu.
I’ll preface this to say that it’s been at least 2-3 years since I’ve been in a ramen restaurant. The last few times we’ve eaten ramen it was from frozen sun noodle packets and the restaurant grade concentrate.
He and I have had conversations on the use of these Concentrates and while he will never use them, he understands why places do. Hard finding cooks and thin margins, its only way for places to make money and expand.
Having said that, the shoyu broths are excellent, flavorful Complex and not one note. Definitely not packaged concentrate. We particularly like the sunset shoyu more with the extra spice. The egg was perfect jammy yolk and the chasu was also excellent.
We got both the thin and thick noodles. we prefer the thick. The thin noodles seem bit too delicate and didn’t have the bite due to sheer size, not because it was over cooked. Karaage was hot and crispy.
