The place I want to return to most in San Diego is Pomegranate. Their sister restaurant Kafe Sobaka closed but the food’s very similar.

Heard about this place from the Blue Danube Wine importers and was excited to try it as we’ve had no Georgian food at home except for the occasional pop-up. Cute place, pretty big, I presume it fills up with Georgians and Russians on weekends. Quiet on Tuesday night. Happened into this excellent place entirely by accident. Just got into town, needed some groceries, went to Costco and Von’s, decided to grab dinner somewhere, and it was right there. We were hoping for decent at best, so were surprised to luck into somewhere that would have been worth going out of our way for after 9pm on a Monday.
