Why is the LA region discussion always so active and the SF bay area discussion barely happening?

Why is the LA section of food talk so active and the Northern CA section is not

i notice so many new topics and discussions on the LA section of food talk central. why is the northern california section so quiet? is there nothing of interest to talk about?
