Great article. I stumbled upon chez panisse early 80 's . The start of a culinary movement.
Before that . Santa Cruz high school offered a course in organic gardening 1972 . We went up to ucsc to see the Alan Chadwick garden. The pioneer of organic gardening. Kudos to Alice , Nancy Silverton , and Alan for their work . And all others , Dirty girl produce , Love apple farms , and so many more . Thank you.
