Had some amazing huge surf clams at Holbox. Now I have to know, where can I source these in Los Angeles?

No, these are really big. I think the one I had must have been about 6". Apparently they get to 8"! Atlantic surf clam ( Spisula solidissima ), also called the bar clam , hen clam, skimmer or simply sea clam https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantic_surf_clam.
Gotcha, they had these on the menu for a bit, wasn’t sure if they had switched over. I can source the NZ ones but not the Atlantics, should be able to find them down at LA Fish or Pac Fresh
