Schellz Pizza on PCH… what’s the deal here? We haven’t had a chance to try it but is the deep dish the way to go? How is there NY style? Worth trying? We finally got around last to trying it and they’ve now been shut for maintenance for a bit.

WOW!! That is going to be quite the pocket!! You got Mitsuwa at the Mall, Seiwa across the street, H-Mart like right next to it (I think another Korean Market as well on Hawthorne). Also an Apple Store is opening in Del Amo. I can’t believe it took them that long to open one there!

Mrs. Schellz came on here pretending to be a customer posting glowing reviews and hyping product and was discovered by ftc detectives.
Mr. Schellz came on here a couple of months back and lashed out and talked a bunch of crap about a poster that had mentioned on this board that they only got very paltry toppings. Pretty big fail of hospitality 101 imo
So as much as I enjoyed their pizza I don’t think I’m gonna go back.

Ceviche marinero from underground/checo chefs new brick and mortar. Super fresh and great balance of lime, savory, sweet, and heat, textural contrast was also great with firm raw shrimp, crisp cucumbers, soft mango, and crispy chips. Pro tip add your own avocado!
Want to go back and have more, anyone know what goes into a black sauce ceviche?

HOLY MACKERAL. How did I miss this? May give it a try, but I’m always skeptical that restos that undergo a “maintenance” or “renovation” so soon after opening will ever re-open.

Nope just got the ceviche. I’m trying to go veganish on weekdays except for Friday dinner so this was already stretching it.

Fukugawa last night. So the youngish guy we know (Shin) apparently left to go back to college, which is great for him but too bad for us bc he was like family to us. But all the ladies we have gotten to know were still there, so the management turnover must have happened a while back. We all got our standard, i.e. breakfast combo with salmon and it was excellent as usual.

Just saw on insta they are closed indefinitely due to a roof issue.
Also, someone was asking about Asahi draft and I can confirm that Fukugawa has a very reasonably priced one at $5 AND it is ice cold.
