If it wasn’t for fake heritage, LA wouldn’t have no heritage at all. But they can always build more.

Only skimmed @ElsieDee’s link (want to save it for later since it seems worth a longer read) and hit the paywall for the LAT article. Did it have anything new to add that wasn’t in the Curbed article (which may determine how hard I try to figure out a workaround… :wink: ) ?

I haven’t read the curbed article since @ElsieDee posted it so can’t remember exactly. Pretty much the same gist with a few new developments, more funny (imo) quotes from people who really care about preserving Taix + the comments are open on the LA Times article. * the comment section is okay. Thought it would be more entertaining

It’s hilarious that random NIMBY neighbors were fighting to save the Taix building, and yet Taix itself was fully supportive of the project. Good on LA City Council for rejecting the appeal.
