The perils of not labeling containers in your freezer

Hummus and salted caramel frosting are both delicious but they are not interchangeable.

I only have one container and I ‘think’ it some kinda pozole’ish spicy thing. But I have some meat that I thought ‘oh I’ll know what this is’ and I don’t. Just the other day I thought some packages were fish filets. Gratefully, before thawing, I remembered they were pig skin :slight_smile:

“Oh, I’ll know what this is” = famous last words of the lazy leftover keeper. The mystery meats get me too. Most recently I thawed what I thought was raw chicken breast and it turned out to be cooked pork.
