Today is National Sandwich Day... what are your favorites?

I enjoyed the bocadillo I had at La Española. No pic, unfortunately…

Tuna melt from Santa Monica Seafood.

Crab melt from the Ingo’s soft opening.

Lobsta roll from Lobsta Truck.

Hmmm… I’m beginning to see a bit of theme…

that’s one great Tuna Melt. I also like Pann’s version too (photo) .

John’s Garden in Malibu makes excellent sandwiches. I particularly like the Surfer Girl (turkey, sprouts, red onion, avocado on wheat - or your choice of bread)

Connie & Ted’s hot lobster roll.

I’ve never been! Would love to see the architecture and to split a patty melt. Maybe I can convince my partner…

Then it’s good that I hit it up in high fucking style:

Hot pastrami dip, half. dirty but not even close to dirty as good as the piece de resistance of this fucked up genre from the Hat. the 1950s trappings is dope, though not the high menu prices, per capita or price per value this may just be the most high priced restaurant in LA, but i fucking digress.

Chili cheese dog, aren’t hot dogs sandwiches ???

and a tito’s taco with cheese.

this shit got me too full to breathe and that ain’t no fucking joke.

Is there a spot that serves a good mozzarella en carozza? Saw Vic Rallo on tv make this grilled cheese bad boy with anchovy sauce… looked delicious.

try the Mozza Group as the critics refer to it.

hmmm, maybe Paninoteca (sp???) the fucking Scarpetta weekdays only sandwich joint.

i still really want to try their fucking fried prawns sandwich.

The Sandwich is delicious, but I don’t recognize the photograph. Was it a custom order?

The Sandwich, the turkey varietal, for fucking crying out loud.

egg salad from Europane.

The Hat’s Pastrami dip, triple-dipped because that’s the only fucking way to do it.

Little Jewel’s soft shell crab po boy, just the soft shells and buttered bread and pickles (no italian cheeses and no funky sauces).

Langer’s pastrami.

The fucking GCM burger, but of course.

Pann’s Patty Melt.

410 Boyd’s blackened catfish sub.

Eastside Deli’s meatball sub.

oh, my bad…

i seeming forgot…

fucking McD’s Filet o Fish

It’s small, but very filling to me.

FIFY

Edible, I believe there are two bread options. Look for the packaging that’s a little flatter in profile, focaccia’ish.

I tried it with the hash browns but it threw off the fucking flavor profile for lack of a better term of art.

It needed some more tartare sauce I do believe.

And that ain’t no fucking joke.
