no mention of legendary og mori sushi where three of the sushi chefs mentioned in the article got their start?
i noticed (and tweeted about) this too earlier today. i guess this kind of thing is unavoidable when the writer is a relatively recent transplant to the city.
Mori’s media coverage has always suffered from their near complete absence on social media. But I agree it’s a pretty big oversight.
I also think they should have mentioned the other major wellspring of LA Sushi chefs, which is Nozawa in the valley (off the top of my head chefs who came through there include Matsumoto, Hiko, and I believe Sasabune. I’m sure I’m missing a number of others).
