UT: Chef trades fine dining for supermarket kitchen

According to the Union Tribune [pause for snicker], chefJames Montejano plans restaurant-quality prepared foods at Cardiff Seaside Market

Nothing really new - many chefs have recently left kitchen to persue careers still in the food business which have better pay and wirking hours.

I had a special occasion meal at La V when he was there.

I think the market is possibly an excellent fit.

Seaside is a different market and I think the concept will work there. They have always done a fairly brisk take out business. Their tri-tip on the weekends is a great sandwich. The campground is right across coast highway, and a lot of the campers get food from them.

The meal was so bad ?

We had several dishes, and there were one or two I really liked!
