I know that Spago does not get a lot of love nor respect. But to me, it is definitely my top 2 or 3 restaurants in LA.
I, too, really enjoy Spago (though not sure top 2 or 3, but we digress).
Spago is like that really comfortable pair of loafers. Specifically that really comfortable pair of Stefano Bemer loafers. Yes, that pair might no longer be totally hip and stylish, but it’s still a damn good quality pair of shoes. And, it’s just fucking comfortable as hell.

Last time I was at Spago I had a perfectly cooked pan seared piece of salmon on top of a lentil salad with incredibly sweet cherry tomatoes. Wolfgang & Co have the clout to get the best product.
