I’m not sure there’s anything else. Maybe some oil if the pork isn’t fatty enough to fry by itself.

i suspect that no one from the SGV has commented so as not to make everyone else feel bad about it, but there is no one place when you live near the s. pas/alhambra border and you have options like the sun nong dan breakfast special at $6.99, the pork chop rice at old country cafe until midnight, the beef roll at zui xiang yuan (the old flavor garden), the noodles at liang’s, banh mi from banh mi my tho. golden deli, embassy kitchen, etc. all within a 10 minute drive. bulgarini’s is about 12 minutes. fosselmann’s half of that. i haven’t even mentioned dim sum yet. went back to carnitas el momo last friday. less than 15 minutes just taking huntington to soto.
you really can’t have porn without pics:
sun nong dan: do ga ni tang
zui xiang yuan
beef roll
for the heck of it i tried their pork chop rice which wasn’t up to OCC standards but it did include kimchi and they mixed their pickled veggies in with the rice, if that’s your kind of thing.
but i still prefer
old country cafe
pork chop rice
liang’s kitchen
lamb noodle soup
banh mi my tho
announcing their new location
i get sandwiches there so often i don’t always document them. here’s a pic from late last year (and probably the only pic that wasn’t taken in 2018)
carnitas el momo:
two with everything, a little heavy on the skin, but still tasty
bulgarinis:
ding’s garden
cluck2go
shanghai dumpling house
and these are just the places i’ve revisited since the end of 2017. i’m going to have a smoke and shower myself off.
