i notice so many new topics and discussions on the LA section of food talk central. why is the northern california section so quiet? is there nothing of interest to talk about?
There used to be much more action when there was more travel. There are a lot of active members in so Cal but if you post up there people are knowledgeable and usually will reply

Hungry Onion got a bunch of SF Chowhound refugees while this site got a bunch of LA ones.
There was no good reason to have two Discourse sites for the same purpose, but there was some miscommunication when I told somebody I was starting this one and he started a second.
